TLC for Dyslexia & Academic Success
We are a non-profit organization in Silver City, NM, whose board is dedicated to raising awareness about dyslexia, its characteristics, and specialized reading instruction.
TLC's Mission
To provide resources and community information to enable children with dyslexia to achieve academic and life success.
TLC's Areas of Focus
Our 501-c-3 organization raises money to support three interrelated areas of focus that serve students in Grant County, NM, who are struggling readers or need academic interventions because they have dyslexia or other language-based issues:
- Train instructors in research-based methods proven to help students with dyslexia learn to read, write, and spell.
- Provide scholarships to students who need assistance to receive individual or small group, specialized instruction.
- Provide parents and community members support and information about dyslexia and other language-based learning problems.
